Our Intro curriculum, on Pioneer DJ® equipment, takes you from beginner to gig-ready
By the end of the Intro course, you will be able to confidently perform a 45-60 minute DJ set on club-standard gear, without relying on automation.
DJing Background
Learn about vinyl, CDJs, and the history of modern mixing equipment. Master song selection by key, genre, and BPM. Become an artist of set design and controlling musical atmosphere and energy.

Equipment
Discover the functions of the modern Pioneer DJ® club mixer and deck. Learn about input devices, and how sound is created.

Software
Choose the right software for your interests. Understand the difference between Serato and Rekordbox, compared to other tools on the market.

Beatmatch
Learn how to count beats, about the basic structure of songs in various genres, and about the fundamentals of beatmatching. Learn phrasing, cueing, and nudging. Say goodbye to sync mode.

We teach at a small number of private studio locations around Downtown Columbus.
All sessions take place on professional equipment, including studio-grade monitors and club-standard DJ setups using Pioneer DJ® XDJ / CDJ systems.
The exact studio location for your session is confirmed in advance, before any payment is made.
All studio locations are centrally located and easily accessible by public transit.
